Burnham Community Dialogue: San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Leadership


Thanks to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance and San Diego Zoo, participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from both organizations' leadership, including Paul Baribault, President and CEO of the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, and Erika Kohler, Executive Director of the San Diego Zoo.

Burnham Community Dialogue: Midway District


Partnering with the Port of San Diego, this event will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss the upcoming changes to the Midway District.

Burnham Community Dialogue: Workforce Equity

Inclusive Growth: Report to the Community

APRIL 2022

With the EDC as our partner, participants discussed data on the region’s progress towards the 2030 Inclusive Growth goals and hear commitments to increasing the number of quality jobs, skilled talent, and thriving households across the region.

Design@Large Speaker Series


In collaboration with UCSD Design Lab, the series showcased the interdisciplinary nature of design in a real-world context with seminars featuring distinguished academic, industry, and civic speakers in design.

Tercer Pais Book Binational Launch

BCCA hosted a book release event for "El Tercer Pais: San Diego & Tijuana Two Countries, Two Cities, One Community," to learn about the history and future of our binational region.

Burnham Community Dialogue: World Design Capital 2024


Partnered with the World Design Capital, UCSD Design Lab, Design Forward Alliance, the City of San Diego, and the City of Tijuana, during this first Burnham Community Dialogue, participants discussed the recent and unprecedented World Design Capital 2024 designation for our San Diego-Tijuana region.

National Conflict Resolution Center Civic Engagement Initiative


Through this series, participants gained skills to communicate effectively, work together and connect with each other, and participate in civic dialogue.

Site Visit to San Diego-Tijuana by the World Design Organization


BCCA and our partners showcased the San Diego-Tijuana region to the World Design Organization as it decided whether to award the World Design Capital 2024 designation to San Diego-Tijuana or Moscow, Russia.
